About Berkshire Physiotherapy Centre
Berkshire Physiotherapy is a privately owned facility located in Reading. The clinic employs six full-time physiotherapists, a sports consultant, six massage therapists, a beauty therapist, and twelve physio assistants. The first visit, which lasts an hour, involves a problem assessment, a medical history review, and an examination to determine a treatment plan. The clinic’s gym and is fully equipped to accommodate any treatment and/or exercise need. We also have physiotherapists who specialise in neuro rehabilitation for stoke, MS and Parkinson's

Biography: Jim Adkins, our Director, has 25 years of experience in successfully treating sports injuries, having worked with the Berkshire Rugby Union and Berkshire County Cricket. He has also been involved in the early days of the British Triathlon Team and his skills are well known by many sporting teams in Reading

Biography: I have been a director of the clinic for 25 years and have specialised in Neurology for 22. I am passionate about helping patients find solutions to their mobility problems - my motto is ‘never give up’ and current research is supporting that even in long term conditions physiotherapy can be extremely helpful. Outside of work I have a love for all things artistic and I print, design and paint.

Biography: I have been qualified as a physiotherapist for nearly 20 years and my main interest is in musculoskeletal injuries caused by work and sport. I also specialise in women’s health – and my interest started when I had my own child – I feel experience speaks volumes! I enjoy going on regular courses to keep up to date with current practice and outside of work I follow the Bracknell Bees Ice Hockey Team as I am the team physio and the players link with the clinic. My remaining free time I enjoy spending with my family.
