About Foundation Dental Services - Sunshine Coast
SUNSHINE COAST DENTAL IMPLANTS & PERIODONTIST At Foundation Dental Services, we specialise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. We are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation and severe gum disease, treating patients with severe gum problems using a range of surgical procedures. In addition, we are specially trained in the placement and repair of dental implants.

Biography: MDSc(Melb) Perio BDS(Syd) Hons MRACDS Registered Dental Specialist – Periodontics and Dental Implants John graduated with honours – Bachelor of Dental Surgery – from Sydney University. He later enrolled in the Dental Masters Program – Melbourne University – and graduated with an MDSc in Periodontics. John holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Australian Army Reserve. He is also a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) ; the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) and the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP). In addition to this John is very active in a local continuing education role – both as a speaker and also by volunteering his time to serve in an executive capacity on a number of study group boards.

Biography: MDS (Adel), BDS (Adel) Foundation Dental Services is very fortunate to work closely with Dr Simon Moore from Precise Oral Pathology Services with consultation sessions available at both our Brisbane city and Sunshine Coast rooms. Simon holds dual registration with the Australian Dental Board as a registered specialist within the field of Oral Medicine – as well as being a registered specialist within Oral Pathology. He graduated from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. Simon later enrolled in the Dental Masters Program – Adelaide University – and achieved an MDS in Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology.

Biography: Registered Dental Specialist – Periodontology Miriam Lee is the newest member of the Foundation Dental Services team. As a true local, Miriam graduated with honours – Bachelor of Dental Science – from the University of Queensland in 2007. Equipped with her newfound knowledge, she went on to work in both the private and public sectors for three years before enrolling and completing her specialist training in Periodontology at Griffith University. Her particular interest lies in the treatment of periodontal diseases and peri-implantitis. Miriam is a thoughtful and caring practitioner who strives for excellence in all she does, and you can be assured that she will always try her best to provide pain free treatment.
